Accreditation seal of programme accreditation
In the course of an ASIIN programme accreditation procedure several quality seals may be acquired for an individual degree programme upon positive completion of the procedure.
- Each HEI acquires the ASIIN seal for each degree programme accredited by the ASIIN Accreditation Commission for Degree Programmes, regardless of the state the HEI is located in.
National particularities
- In the area covered by the German Accreditation Council, ASIIN e. V. additionally awards the seal of the Council in accordance with the valid provisions for the realisation of accreditations
- If ASIIN e. V. conducts procedures outside of Germany, it may award additional seals upon positive decision by the ASIIN Accreditation Commission for Degree Programmes, depending on the provisions, legal basis and authority in the country in question. For Switzerland and The Netherlands for instance, the national accreditation system provides for preliminary work up to the recommendation to be carried out by an agency such as ASIIN e. V. The final accreditation decision however, is carried out by state authorities.
Subject-related labels
Within an ASIIN programme accreditation procedure, it is possible to acquire specific quality seals (labels) for certain subjects in addition to the ASIIN seal. As a basic rule, ASIIN is then authorised by a European or international association/network to award such a subject-related quality seal in the course of the procedure, provided that pertinent requirements are met.
Currently, the following additional subject-related quality seals may be applied for with ASIIN:
- EUR-ACE® label for the area of engineering
- Eurobachelor®/Euromaster® label for the area of chemistry.
In addition, ASIIN e. V. as member of the European Network EQANIE e. V. may provide information on the procedure and criteria of the acquirement of the Euro-Inf® label in the area of informatics/computer science.
