ASIIN listed in INQAAHE‘s „Guidelines of Good Practice Database“

In August 2012 ASIIN had applied to the „International Network for Quality Assurance in Higher Education“ (INQAAHE) for a verification whether the ASIIN accreditation procedures and standards comply with the „INQAAHE Guidelines of Good Practice“ (GGP). After ASIIN had provided a complete set of application documents, a thorough assessment by the INQAAHE Directorate was implemented. In October 2012, INQAAHE decided to list ASIIN as one of only 10 agencies worldwide on their website and thereby confirming that ASIIN meets the expectation of the worldwide network of quality assurance agencies.

Managing Director of ASIIN elected as new President of ENAEE; new Administrativ Council takes Office

The General Assembly of ENAEE, the European Network for Accreditation of Engineering Education, has chosen its new leadership. With overwhelming majority, Dr. Iring WASSER was elected new President on 24th February in Brussels. He succeeds Prof. Dr. Giuliano AUGUSTI from Italy, who headed the organization since its founding in 2006.

Establishment of the European Alliance for Subject Specific and Professional Accreditation and Quality Assurance (EASPA e.V.)

On the 29th of November 2011, the European Alliance for Subject Specific and Professional Accreditation and Quality Assurance (EASPA) was founded in the premises of ASIIN in Düsseldorf, Germany. EASPA constitutes a pan-European platform for a considerable and growing number of subject-specific, disciplinary organized European accreditation and quality assurance networks, which are jointly working towards enhancing the quality of degree programmes, institutions or individual qualifications on the basis of agreed European learning outcomes, competence profiles and qualification frameworks while respecting the European Standards and Guidelines (ESG). By working and collaborating jointly in this field, EASPA makes an important contribution to fostering academic and professional mobility in the European Higher Education Area and beyond.

ASIIN invites to Conference "Dimensions of Quality Assurance in Informatics Education 2011"

Registration will be free for the upcoming event organized by EQANIE and partners on 22-23 September 2011 at Lake Como, Italy. Quality assessment of education at the level of disciplines plays a strong role for academic and professional mobility in the EHEA and the comparability and relevance of qualifications. Field-specific QA-networks have gained continuously importance over the recent years. Founding of the Central and Eastern European Network of Quality Assurance Agencies in HE (CEENQA e.V.)

On the 28th of May 2011, altogether 18 quality assurance agencies from 15 countries met at the University of Split and founded the so called “Central and Eastern Network of Quality Assurance in Higher Education” (CEENQA e.V).

Euro-Ages Concluding Conference in Budapest on 22 October 2010

The project led by ASIIN Consult for the development of a Europe-wide subject-related qualification framework in the area of geology has reached the concluding stage. Since the beginning of the second half of the project in March 2010, the learning outcomes developed have been accorded Europe-wide with relevant stakeholder groups and reviewed and optimised by means of test accreditations at selected European Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).
