Euro-Inf® and EQANIE

For the area of informatics, ASIIN, together with leading European partners, has developed criteria and procedural principles for the award of the subject-related quality seal for computer science within the Euro-Inf Project.

The Council of European Professional Informatics Societies (CEPIS), Hamburg University of Applied Sciences and the University of Paderborn were partners in this project.

Based on a survey among European member societies of CEPIS and in cooperation with an international team of experts in the areas of informatics and accreditation, the agency developed joint general requirements and procedural principles, which were tested in various stages, developed further, and published.

Since the completion of the development project, the body responsible for the seal has been EQANIE (European Quality Assurance Network for Informatics Education), which ASIIN e. V. is a member of. The goal of this network is to harmonise the quality evaluation of degree programmes in informatics at a European level by means of the quality seal Euro-Inf® and to establish a joint basis for quality expectations oriented on the learning outcomes.
