Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) based outside of Germany may attain the relevant ASIIN certificate when fulfilling the ASIIN standards for quality management (in studying and teaching).
The general ASIIN Requirements and Procedural Principles for system accreditation form the basis of the evaluation, whereby the pertinent national and local framework regulations apply. In return, the parts of the ASIIN Requirements and Procedural Principles which are based on the implementation of specific national or regional structural features or which are not relevant for another country will not be applied.
The ASIIN Accreditation Commission for QM Systems is currently working on a separate publication of the ASIIN Requirements and Procedural principles for awarding the seal for QM systems for HEIs based outside of Germany. As before, this version will also refer to the content-related core of the ASIIN Requirements and Procedural Principles for QM systems published so far, but it will not contain the criteria and procedural elements applying exclusively to the German system in order to facilitate better reading.
